Kanye West has called himself a god before in his music, but he is giving gamers the power to help him take his late mother to heaven in a new video game he is currently working on.
That's right, 'Ye is making a mobile video game and it's all about taking his mother to heaven.
We aren't shocked that Kanye is creating a video game, especially after wife Kim Kardashian is making bank for her mobile game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. But his idea seems a bit morbid compared to Kim K gamers who just want to become a celebrity.
Following in his wife's footsteps, the rapper and fashion designer announced his plans to venture into a mobile game of his own based on his latest song "Only One" during a recent interview with New York radio station Power 105.1.
The song "Only One," a collaboration with Paul McCartney, is about his late mother speaking to him. The lyrics and video also feature his daughter North West.
"Right now I'm working on a video game for 'Only One,'" West said. "The idea is it's my mother going through the Gates of Heaven and you got to bring her to the highest Gates of Heaven by holding her to the light. We've been working on it for like 6 months."
This could be a creative way for Kanye to deal with his grief, but we will have to see if the game will be a success among his fans. Whether you love him or love to hate him, we must agree that Kanye always knows how to push the envelope and do something that is highly entertaining.
While many are anticipating this game, others are still waiting on the other Mario-inspired video game Kanye created in the seventh grade.
Kanye talks about his new mobile game at the 55 minute mark of the interview.
