Boston Resident Gets Revenge On New Yorker Who Stole His Post-Snow Parking Space

Boston cannot catch a break. After the first blizzard of 2015 and the handful of other February storms, Boston has been hit with 78.5 inches this winter, breaking records and the hearts of New Englanders who are probably suffering from extreme cabin fever while dreaming of springtime thoughts.

And while everyone loves a snow day, eventually everyone has to go back to work and school. Even though the snow may look majestic as white flurries fall from the heavens, shoveling driveways, sideways and digging out cars is complete hell.

That's why this one Boston resident was so angry when he found that someone had stolen his parking space after shoveling himself out from the mess.

For up to 48-hours after the announcement of a snow emergency, Boston residents are allowed to use parking space savers. So one resident placed a bookshelf in the empty spot to make sure when he got back home his shoveled-out spot was still available to park in.

But when he returned home Sunday night he was shocked to find that a car "with New York plates" stole his space.

The Boston resident let his anger fester for the evening, taking a day to plot his revenge. On Monday night he decided to do a little more shoveling, this time piling the snow he already cleared onto the New Yorker's blue and yellow Monte Carlo.

The resident took a picture for evidence, sharing his revenge on a Craigslist post. "So I had a marker, and I spent a long time clearing out this spot. I even made a path from my spot to the sidewalk so I wouldn't have to walk in the streets," the resident wrote in his post. "This guy didn't wait 24 hours so I put all the snow back...I was nice enough to leave the passenger door accessible in case they needed to get in for an emergency," he continued.

The Boston resident remains anonymous and has since deleted his Craigslist post in fear of retaliation. He said before he removed the post, others suggested slashing the New Yorker's tires, so the post was deleted to prevent any harm or damage.

Glad to hear this revenge didn't go any further, but it's safe it say that it looks like this New Yorker got what he deserved.
