It seems like New England is not escaping the wrath of winter anytime soon. The region was blasted with another two feet of snow on Monday, making it a total of 60.8 inches that has fallen in the Boston area in the past month.
And while these numbers break the record of 58.8 inches that fell back on February 2, 1978, more snow is predicted in the forecast on Thursday.
As people continue to dig themselves out of the mountains of snow, they are finding it hard to get rid of all the snow as it keeps pouring down. Officials are considering taking truckloads of snow to be dumped into the ocean.
Even if New Englanders chose to keep their cars snowed in, staying home themselves for one more snow day seems to be turning into a month-long vacation—not ideal for their jobs. But getting to work via public transportation is not a reliable solution in the mess, either. The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority needed time to clear the snow and ice from tracks, as subways, trolleys and train services were shut down on Monday night. As of Tuesday only buses were running.
But even though many New Englanders are frustrated with the weather, they are taking unbelievabe images and sharing them on Twitter to show the world just how intense this winter has gotten. Here is a look at some of the unbelievable images from New England's snowfall.
This image brings only two words to mind: snowed in.

You know there is a lot of snow if you can snowboard in your backyard.
