iPhone 6 And 6 Plus Smartphone Discount Deals: Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Best Buy Sale Saves Up To $100

Buyers can now save up to $100 on an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus using special promotions available with select plans through Verizon, and through Best Buy for either Verizon, Sprint or AT&T.

Since the enormously successful release of Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus last September, consumers looking for a discount or sale deal on the devices have generally been out of luck. Demand was so great for the devices, that upon release, all configurations were actually being resold at a premium on eBay, and demand exceeded supply at many retailers, including Apple stores.

Around the holidays, a few select deals were offered in conjunction with Black Friday, with Sam's Club and later Wal-Mart selling the 16-GB configuration of the iPhone 6 at a $20 discount. The sales, however, were on a limited supply of devices and limited only to the lowest storage configuration of the iPhone 6.

Now, a few deals are finally popping up that can save buyers a significant amount off an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, in any storage configuration, when signing up for select plans or switching carriers.

Best Buy is now offering a $50 Best Buy gift card "when you purchase and activate the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus for Verizon Edge, AT&T Next, Sprint Easy Pay or Sprint Leasing." The cited plans all require the buyer to pay out the cost of the phone over an extended period of time as an additional cost added to their monthly bill. The deal is not available for the traditional contract plans which require the subsidized cost of the device to be paid upfront in full.

If you're willing to switch carriers to Verizon, an even sweeter deal is available. Verizon is offering a $100 bill credit to any customer who switches to Verizon from another carrier and purchases a new smartphone on the Verizon Edge plan. The deal includes both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and is also only available when signing up for Verizon Edge, which bills out the cost of the phone in monthly installments, not on a traditional contract.
