'Fifty Shades of Grey' Earns $81.7 Million On First Box Office Weekend

Fifty Shades of Grey is dominating the North American box office and has earned $81.7 million in the US while earning an additional $158 million overseas. Not many films possess the capability of doing this, but Fifty Shades of Grey has earned a spot in box office history.

Fifty Shades of Grey should be viewed as the hottest romance movie of 2015 so far, and thousands of women in their 30s will find the time to go out just to get a taste of the sexual tension the film could deliver.

E.L. James' romance novel-turned-movie will probably make its biggest one-day earning on Valentine's Day and President's Day weekend. The Hollywood Reporter claims the movie could top the $63.1 million record on Valentine's Day, and as the weekend box office figures are coming in, the movie has already broken that prediction.
