Bear Grylls may be the last true adventurer. He's made a career out of taking the fight back to nature, and with several successful TV series under his belt, it's not as if his skills can be called into question. Man vs Wild, Worst Case Scenario, The Island - the man is a certified survivor, no doubt about it, and he's made something that could be absolutely terrifying into entertainment for millions. After all, how horrifying would it actually be to get stuck in the wilderness with no chance of rescue?
Then again, maybe all of that survival training and time in the wilderness doesn't translate well to modern society. For instance, we make think of opening a door and calmly walking into a room is nothing - but for someone who's constantly outdoors, artificial blockades might be something to tear down, not to simply pass through.
That may sound crazy...but then again, climbing up the side of a building to come crashing through a window is crazy, too (his entrance begins at 1:35)...
Extra points to Grylls for knowingly destroying that desk once he made it in.
Let's be honest: that's not exactly a normal way to enter a building. Yes, Grylls is a survivalist, but how many studio windows are out in the mountains? He doesn't look that scared of it, so maybe Bear Grylls has experience with taking down similar windows - or maybe that's how he sneaks up on wild bears to try and take their territory.
Of course, Grylls was on ITV to promote Bear Grylls: Mission Survive, a new show in which 12 celebrities are tossed into the wild, but who's going to remember anything about a reality show when its host just blasted through the window?
