The latest update from OpenAI for ChatGPT is giving it the ability to be one's personal shopping assistant.
It can now help users find their next purchase from online stores by scouring the internet for the best products that match one's needs or wants.
OpenAI's ChatGPT Shopping Feature Is Here
In a new announcement from OpenAI via X, the company has announced the latest upgrade to the shopping experience that is already being offered under the ChatGPT Search feature. The latest improvements bring a more insightful conversation with the chatbot as it can now bring users direct links that take them right to the product pages they are looking for.
This is only one of the massive upgrades from OpenAI for ChatGPT's Search as it also improves the other aspects of its shopping feature to better connect users to products that best suit their needs.
OpenAI shared that ChatGPT will now bring better product results and recommendations to users, and this also includes visual product details like photos, pricing, and user reviews.

Ask the Chatbot to Find Your Online Needs
According to OpenAI, this is available to all users, including the Free and paid ones, as well as logged-out accounts, which means that ChatGPT will still display results when using a public browser or PC.
Users may tailor their search depending on their needs, specifying the product they are looking for, indicating their ideal price range, and asking for other specifics like preferred color or make.
ChatGPT Features Are Evolving
In 2025 alone, OpenAI has revamped how people use artificial intelligence in their daily lives as ChatGPT got a massive boost that comes with new features for the public, with Free users also getting a taste of the experience.
One of the biggest features that has been dropped this year is the direct image generation on ChatGPT, which took the online world by storm.
On the other hand, OpenAI has also focused on more personalized experiences on ChatGPT with the new Memory Boost feature that is now available for paid users. Memory Boost works by having the chatbot remember all previous conversations and take into account what was previously discussed to improve the content or information it responds with.
Recently, OpenAI has also introduced the Lite Deep Research for Free users to experience the more insightful and fact-based responses from the chatbot.
Despite all of these advancements, OpenAI is still working on its next-generation models under the GPT and o-series releases, particularly as the era of agentic and reasonable AI is here.
