X, the controversial social media platform of Elon Musk, is dealing with a global outage, and its owner has claimed that this is not just a server issue, but a cyberattack against them.
Musk is convinced that X's current outage is not a simple problem in its infrastructure and services, but a sophisticated attack carried out against them by a massive threat group.
Furthermore, Musk speculated that if this has not been done by a threat group, there is a country involved behind and the scenes.
X's Global Outage Is a Cyberattack, Says Elon Musk
Reports over at DownDetector have blown up earlier today as many users have raised issues over at X, and it has been going on for a long time now.
This problem was already acknowledged by Musk via a quoted post about the recent happenings that involve his companies.
According to Musk, the current issue affecting the platform's operations "was (still is)" a massive cyberattack, but the billionaire did not reveal what made him say so.
Moreover, the X owner claimed that X faces attacks daily, but this recent is different as he believes that the threat actors have "a lot of resources."
He has speculated the resources to come from either a large and coordinated group and/or a country.

No Updates Yet on X's Restored Services
As of writing, the reports have died down on DownDetector's website, but there are still no updates from Musk or X's Support account regarding the restoration of affected services.
Moreover, Musk and the team over at X have not yet shared more information regarding their global outage and the speculation that they were attacked.
Elon Musk's X and Its Controversies
Since Musk's acquisition of Twitter, it has become very controversial and target of dissent. It has been almost three years since Musk bought the platform for $44 billion, but it is not yet "breaking even," according to its owner.
There have been many issues that users found within the platform, particularly as its verification method became a paid service that allowed anyone, including impostors, to get the checkmark. Musk's recent alliance with President Donald Trump also led to different occasions of mass exodus.
Additionally, Musk's focus on free speech has also been the center of controversy, particularly as not only are other users abusing their right to speak out, but its owner is known for diving into problematic topics including antisemitism.
