Rumors regarding the next-generation smartphone from Apple has been spreading like wildfire, and many that involve the iPhone 17 Air have been sharing reported renders of the device. Over the past months, there have been differing rumors regarding what the iPhone 17 Air will deliver, but what is certain is that it is the thinnest ever smartphone that the company will deliver.
Apart from the thin profile of the device, new rumored prototypes are giving the public an idea on how the device will look like and what other features it may have.
Apple iPhone 17 Air's Dummy Phone Leak
A new video shared by iDeviceHelp via YouTube has shared insights on what the iPhone 17 Air may look like. According to the YouTuber, the said renders came from leaker Majin Bu that were then transformed into a 3D-printed prototype to give the public a more tangible look into what the new smartphone may look like.
Based on the renders, the iPhone 17 Air will be extremely thin, but according to The Verge, different rumors share different exact measurements. Ice Universe, as corroborated by Ming-Chi Kuo, claimed that it will be at 5.5mm thick, while analyst Jeff Pu said that it will be at around 6mm.
The YouTuber's 3D-printed dummy phone shows off the iPhone 17 Air's thinness with an electronic digital caliper that registers only 0.22 inches based on the leaked CAD details, putting it at 5.588mm.

iPhone 17 Air: Rumored Features, Design, and More
It can also be seen that the iPhone 17 Air may only feature a single rear camera lens unlike its predecessor, the iPhone 16 Plus, which had a dual-camera setup behind. That being said, it may still get the stretched camera bar like the leaked iPhone 17 Pro.
Apart from these details, the iPhone 17 Air can likely feature the latest iPhone hardware like the Action Button, a USB-C port, a Camera Control button, and the Dynamic Island with Face ID.
The Thinnest iPhone Ever is Coming Soon
Not much will change with Apple's flagship iPhone releases as the Pro models will remain with the iPhone Pro and Pro Max versions, but its base releases will remove the Plus option to make way for the new iPhone 17 Air.
This will be the first time that Apple will release an Air model for its smartphones, and it is set to deliver a thinner profile compared to the iPhone 6. Prices will reportedly start at $899.
Recently, more detailed rumors have been shared by sources and analysts regarding what the iPhone 17 Air will deliver. Apple will reportedly give almost the entire lineup a rear camera bump revamp as it will move away from the corner square design and take up the entire upper rear panel.
