The only Mac computer that remains without the M4 chip is the MacBook Air and a trusted analyst has recently reported that Apple is now gearing up for an upcoming announcement for its upgrade later this week.
It will be the first computer release from the Cupertino-based tech giant for 2025, with the M4 MacBook Air's announcement widely anticipated by the public since last year.
Apple M4 MacBook Air Announcement Reportedly Coming This Week
It is officially the first week of March, and Mark Gurman's latest Power On newsletter via Bloomberg bears good news for all Apple fans as the company is reportedly already gearing up for an announcement coming later this week for none other than the MacBook Air M4.
There is still no exact date for the anticipated Apple announcement, but the analyst revealed that it will be coming soon.
It is expected to deliver massive upgrades to the computer while still offering the same 13 and 15-inch options for the top-selling device.

What to Expect from the MacBook Air's Upcoming M4 Upgrade?
The M4 MacBook Air is expected to feature similar specs as the base M4 MacBook Pro, and this means it will get a 10-core CPU instead of the 8-core, upgradeable RAM for up to 32 GB instead of 24 GB, and 120 GB/s memory bandwidth.
Additionally, Apple is also expected to offer the 12MP Center Stage camera for its webcam, as well as the option to upgrade the screen into a nanotexture display. The M4 MacBook Air is also expected to expand its battery life to one or two hours more than the previous version.
Apple's M4 Silicon Chipset and the MacBook Air
Many Apple fans have questioned why it missed one device as part of the showcase last October, with the company holding back on releasing the M4 upgrade expected of the MacBook Air. The good thing is that various rumors claimed that Apple is still working on this device, with the macOS 15.2's previous leak confirming that the company is targeting a 2025 release for this laptop.
The previous reports claimed that Apple is planning to unveil the two options for the MacBook Air with the M4 chipset, and this includes both the 13-inch and 15-inch versions of the device.
Additionally, it will come with an additional upgrade from Apple that will convince users to make the switch, with the M4 MacBook Air offering the capability to connect to up to two external displays and still use its built-in screen as a third.
Apart from this and several upgrades to its processing power, there are no more additional details as to what the M4 MacBook Air will offer users once it arrives.
