The Chinese multinational tech company Infinix has unveiled its latest concept, its new ZERO Series Mini Tri-Fold device, which represents a fresh new take on foldable smartphones. The company unveiled the concept photos of the device, which shows that there's an added extra hinge to make it a trifold.
Infinix ZERO Series Mini Tri-Fold Concept Unveiled
Infinix announced that it is now working on a new smartphone that is set to make waves in the industry, particularly as the ZERO Series Mini Tri-Fold offers a fresh and unique take on foldable smartphones.
Mainstream foldable smartphones are typically separated into two parts, which can either be folded in half horizontally or vertically.
However, in this latest development, Infinix revealed that it is working on a device that can fold two times, and that extra fold now splits a smartphone into three parts.
"This is not just another foldable; it is a bold reimagination of how technology enhances everyday life, evolving seamlessly between different forms," said Infinix.
"Whether mounted on gym equipment for workout tracking, clipped onto a backpack for action shots, or unfolded into a sleek, pocket-friendly smartphone, the ZERO Series Mini Tri-Fold delivers unmatched versatility," Infinix added.

Foldable Smartphone's New Trend: Trifolds
It should be noted that Infinix is not even the first to introduce this concept, and according to 9to5Google, its rivals in the industry like Huawei and Samsung are said to be working on their take on trifolds.
This fresh new take on smartphones is looking to change the foldable smartphone landscape significantly, but it remains unknown when they will be able to make it publicly available.
The Improving Qualities of Foldables
Back when the tech industry was on the verge of receiving its first mainstream foldable smartphones in the market, it was faced with a delay as Samsung asked for more time to work on the integrity of its devices.
Later on, Samsung recalled all of the early releases to reviewers and partners as there were widespread reports of devices breaking down. That incident was way back in 2019, and it involved the Galaxy Z Fold1 smartphone,
Fast forward to several years later, Samsung has improved its devices, and it is now faced with massive competition from its rivals. The latest foldable devices that have been released in the market are already exceptional as hinges saw huge upgrades that almost made them gapless, with some companies almost fixing the "crease" issue.
Companies like OnePlus, OPPO, Huawei, Motorola, and more have joined Samsung in this foldable revolution in the smartphone industry for over half a decade already, slowly making these devices mainstream. However, there is a new trend for foldable makers like Huawei and Samsung, with Infinix now joining them with the ZERO concept.
