In the current iPhone 15 lineup, there's a clear distinction in RAM between the non-Pro and Pro models. According to Apple Insider, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus comes with 6GB of RAM, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are equipped with 8GB. This difference in memory capacity is the reason behind the exclusive support of Apple's AI suite, Apple Intelligence, on the Pro models.

The source of this information, a Weibo user known as "Phone Chip Expert," has a proven track record of accurate predictions. They were the first to predict the water-resistant design of the iPhone 7 and the continued use of the A15 Bionic chip in the standard iPhone 14 models, while the more advanced A16 chip was reserved for the Pro versions. These predictions were later confirmed by other reliable sources and were accurate upon the release of the products.
"If you're planning to switch to an AI-powered iPhone, the iPhone 17 in 2025 might be a better choice. This year's iPhone 16 only has 8GB of RAM, with most of the AI processing done in the cloud.
