Hacked channels on YouTube are now given an AI tool to assist them in their troubles.

A new AI assistant on YouTube is now offering help for hacked channels that would accommodate user requests to recover their accounts and secure them to avoid unauthorized access in the future. This is called the "hacked channel assistant" and is available for users to access via the YouTube Help Center, allowing users to get back their accounts.

This feature offers a way for users to fast-track their account recovery process, particularly as before, this was nonexistent or would take longer processes to complete.

YouTube users are now given a chance to recover their accounts with the help of an AI chatbot that the platform introduced, and it is called the 'hacked channel assistant' that was introduced earlier on Google's support page.

This is an AI-powered troubleshooting tool that promises to help creators in getting back their accounts from threat actors who may have accessed them.

According to Google, the tool will help "eligible creators" for now in its early availability to recover and secure accounts.

AI to Help Recover Accounts, Secure Them in the Future

According to YouTube, the first step in the process is to secure the creator's Google account that is associated with their YouTube channel.

Next, users are given the chance to "revert" the unwanted changes found on their YouTube channel, particularly on uploads that may lead to violations of the Community Guidelines or copyright strikes.

Lastly, the AI tool would help in bolstering the security of users' accounts by adding different layers of protection that Google offers.

YouTube's Available AI Systems and Tools

Google's massive developments in the artificial intelligence world have arrived in YouTube's multimedia streaming platform already, and it is available in different forms and tools. One of the most popular is its Sound Search, a Shazam-like feature that is exclusive to Premium users, leveraging Google's generative AI to help them find songs by simply humming.

On the other hand, YouTube has also embraced the presence of AI ads on its platform, offering its advertising clients and partners to easily create campaigns from its renowned tool.

This feature is made available on YouTube's Brandcast, specifically in its "Video Reach Campaigns Non-Skips," meaning that these would be unskippable by the audience.

AI-generated content is slowly being accepted in streaming platforms as well, and content creators only need to disclose that their post was made with generative AI to successfully upload it.

Content creators and channels on YouTube may now get help from AI to recover their accounts through 'hacked channel assistant,' and it also offers a way to secure them moving forward.
