Instead of having only 30 days to decide on extending AppleCare+, users are now given an extra 15 days to do so, with Apple accepting renewals for the coverage for up to 45 days. This gives users more time to decide on whether to continue or have the plan expire, offering different options to choose from on the validity of their AppleCare coverage.
That being said, it is important to note that there are only selected countries that are eligible to extend the AppleCare+ program on their devices.
Apple Now Allows You to Extend AppleCare+ in 45 Days
MacRumors first spotted the recent change in AppleCare+'s extension period, which Apple later confirmed on its support website that users are now given up to 45 days to decide on extending their subscription to the service. Through this, users may extend or repurchase a coverage plan for their respective devices to be covered by the company for various incidents.
It is known that AppleCare+ offers a warranty for Apple devices further than the complimentary AppleCare for newly purchased or refurbished devices. Additionally, it expands more from the warranties, as it also covers accidental damages which guarantees unlimited repairs for users.
Lastly, there is also the option to purchase AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss which is available for 12 months per subscription, for up to two incidents.

AppleCare+ Extension Available in These Countries
However, Apple noted on its support page that it is limited to 18 regions only.
This includes Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
In these 45 days, users may extend AppleCare+ coverage to monthly, annual, 24-month, or 36-month coverage.
AppleCare Program and What it Brings
The saying "you can never be too careful" is significantly applicable in this day and age, as more consumer electronics and devices are made with premium materials and can easily be damaged via accidents or negligence. Over the past years, AppleCare+ has expanded its offers to users, allowing up to two repairs per year for covered devices.
However, Apple made it better in the succeeding years, as the company has allowed unlimited repairs for devices that were 'accidentally damaged' if subscribed to AppleCare+. This allowed more subscribers to get better 'care' from the Cupertino giant as it guarantees official repairs from the company, as well as original replacement parts for their devices.
While being careful with one's Apple devices is still the best way to protect it, getting AppleCare+ serves as a cushion that will help whenever unexpected events take place. Despite one's AppleCare+ subscription lapsing, users are still given a chance to extend it to however long they want, now given up to 45 days to act upon it and continue the warrantied experience.
