Apple is now working with regulators to bring its AI to the world.

The upcoming Apple Intelligence system is branching out to other regions, and it will not be exclusive to the United States and offer the experience in the English language only. Possible territories include the likes of China and the European Union member countries, but these were not specified by the company in this latest revelation of its international access.

Moreover, it is important to note that Apple Intelligence would be first made available to America, with the system to see a slow rollout.

Cupertino's recent third-quarter earnings call to investors revealed significant information as to how Apple Intelligence would be available to other territories apart from the United States. Apple CEO Tim Cook was asked a question regardingApple Intelligence's accessibility in other regions, citing examples of two massive entities, China and the European Union.

However, while Tim Cook did not exactly answer the question about where Apple Intelligence would be available next, the Apple CEO revealed that it is planning to share the technology with "everyone."

It was revealed that Apple's current goal is to deliver it "fast; as they can, but has not yet revealed where the AI would be first made available.

Cupertino is Now Working with Regulators for AI

It was further revealed by the company's CEO that Apple is currently working with regulators from the likes of the aforementioned territories. Cupertino's current goal is to ensure that its AI will comply with the regulatory requirements to have it immediately available to users once it releases Apple Intelligence.

Cook has been careful of his words and what he reveals via the call, not dropping any names of the countries that will get the generative AI.

What to Expect from Apple Intelligence?

Like what the modern artificial intelligence companies have introduced with their generative technology, Apple will bring its development to help create different types of content via prompts. However, Cupertino's take on AI centers more on being embedded in its operating system starting with iOS 18, introducing a variety of generative AI writing tools that are easily accessible on devices.

One of the most surprising announcements last WWDC 2024 is the rumor-turned-reality of integrating OpenAI's ChatGPT into Apple Intelligence which is also accessible via the technology. While it will only be offered by Siri as an option whenever asking for help or having it create a composition, Elon Musk is known for criticizing Apple for this integration.

The other main feature of Apple Intelligence is that it will be an on-device experience, in contrast to famed generative AI platforms which are cloud-based and are required to be connected to the internet at all times. After adhering to the US AI safety rules, Apple Intelligence will soon be expanding to other markets or regions, with Cupertino coordinating with regulators to make it happen.
