One of the top promises of OpenAI for ChatGPT is the capability to talk to it, and the latest Advanced Voice Mode introduced by the company fulfilled that experience to select users who were able to test it. The early users got the first look at what it can deliver to users, with the capability to create prompts by talking to one's device, and the chatbot responding based on what was requested.

The many features of ChatGPT's voice assistant function brought the sought-after rumors about its manner of responding, being anyone or anything that a user asks them to be.

A new report from The Verge notes that the users subscribed to ChatGPT Plus and are part of the small group that weregiven access to ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode have regarded that it offers significant features. Most of the reviews behind the Advanced Voice Mode are good, praising OpenAI for its development of this experience that featuresmassive capabilities.

ChatGPT's Advanced Voice Mode does not only answer users with human-like capabilities, but it can also sing, tellstories, replicate accents, and more.

In a video uploaded to YouTube, ChatGPT's Advanced Voice Mode was able to speak different languages as well, expanding more on its voice chatting feature.

Another post from a user part of the test over at X shared massive praises for ChatGPT's Advanced Voice Mode, showing how the chatbot can be whatever or whoever one wants, focusing more on being human-like. Apart from being able to mimic almost all accents, it can also replicate animal noise, also asking the chatbot to sing how animals like cats or frogs would.

OpenAI's ChatGPT Improvements

Almost two years after OpenAI first released ChatGPT, the renowned tech company introduced various improvements to the chatbot which expands more of its experiences. Earlier this year, OpenAI already introduced its take on an AI voice assistant that would be more 'human-like,' similar to the AI assistant found in the movie Her, drawing similarities to Scarlett Johanson's character.

However, this feature is not exactly a new feature from OpenAI as back in November 2023, the company released the ChatGPT Voice feature available for all types of accounts to access. OpenAI developed this latest experience for ChatGPT to feature its generative AI capabilities without the need to type and receive a written response from the chatbot.

AI has long been perceived as a human-like computer system that could easily answer people with instant answers, having intensive knowledge about almost all topics in the world, and can do so verbally. Now, that perception of artificial intelligence is slowly becoming true, with OpenAI's ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode fulfilling this experience for its early users.
