Qualcomm announced the arrival of its next-gen Snapdragon 4s Gen 2, a 5G-ready chip that cuts costs and makes the present-generation data connection accessible to users. Not only that, the latest budget chipset also promises efficiency for users, allowing their batteries to last all day, as well as bringing significant camera capabilities for the device.

Moreover, the new budget Snapdragon chipset will bring dual band navlC, AI-enhanced audio, and gaming and video streaming enhancements.

According to Qualcomm, it will be first made available to its "key" OEM partners like Xiaomi, and would then beavailable to other brands. 

It was revealed by the company that the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 will be available on its first device application via Xiaomi before the year ends.

Cheaper Smartphones 5G Access: Coming Soon from Qualcomm

One of the main offers of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 is its affordable pricing, which in turn, would allow manufacturers to offer a 5G-ready smartphone at entry-level or budget pricing. Through this development, Qualcomm predicts that it could be available to 2.8 billion smartphone users soon, capable of outputting 1 Gbps download speeds.

Qualcomm may be known for powering the processes of smartphones among different brands with its renowned CPU SoC development, but the company also has massive hands-on 5G chips. Among its biggest customers is the renowned company, Apple, with Qualcomm sharing its 5G modems to Cupertino for its iPhones, with a contract until 2026.

There is also Qualcomm's development of the Snapdragon X and X Elite series which boasts of powerful 5G capabilities for devices that are capable of carrying out sub 6-GHz spectrum feats. The Snapdragon X75 5G Advanced-ready modern RF-system architecture recently achieved a whopping 7.5 Gbps downlink speeds, one of the top performances of the present. 

Despite its massive focus on whopping performance and speeds, Qualcomm is ready to take on the market with more affordable options under its renowned Snapdragon development. Its latest announcement of the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 would equip devices with significant 5G power while staying within budget range, allowing Qualcomm to expand its products for more users.
