The upcoming closed beta for Marvel Rivals is already shaping up to deliver massive gaming experiences, but apart from its playtest, the developers are planning something big coming to the game. Instead of the usual beta experiences on an unreleased game, players will be met with exclusive experiences, including new events, Twitch drops, and more.

In this latest announcement, Marvel Entertainment and NetEase Games are shaking things up with the upcoming closed beta experience, bringing more of what they offer.

The developers and publishers are hyping up the upcoming closed beta offers with new experiences to look forward to. First, there will be an in-game event called Galacta's Quest, which will give gamers quests to accomplish while playing the PvP shooter, accumulating event XP along the way and earning rewards.

It also offers an exclusive Cyan Clash Venom costume as a closed beta test exclusive that could be used once it releases.

There is also a new game mode called 'War of the Realms' that offers a 6v6 tournament format from July 30 to August 4. Users may sign up for this from July 25 to July 30.

The Marvel Rivals team would also deliver on Twitch drops that will give exclusive access to the closed beta test, and it would be available from 00:00 on July 25 until 00:00 on July 28 (UTC). Additionally, chosen CBT participants would be given additional invite codes to friends once they reach Level 6.

The Upcoming PvP Shooter, Marvel Rivals

Marvel Entertainment and Marvel Games are doubling down on their efforts for its upcoming PvP shooter game, which will debut an enormous offering of its comics with Marvel Rivals. It was only earlier this year when Marvel Rivals was introduced to the world, and it is already taking the gaming industry by storm, initially offering a preview of its Yggsgard map and a possible arrival of Hela.

There would be around 19 comic book characters upon launch, including Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and more.

The game follows a significant boost in the titles released by Marvel Entertainment this 2024 and for the following years ahead. It will go side by side with Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, which will focus more on a single-person story.

This is the first game from Marvel that will focus on  Overwatch or VALORANT-style action PvP gameplay, as opposed to third-person, single-player stories or RPGs. Marvel Rivals' closed beta will run from late July until around early August, but it will not focus on playtests only. It will introduce events and different game modes, alongside Twitch drops for in-game freebies.
