Samsung is now facing bashers and fans who are disappointed with their latest Galaxy Unpacked event, with many claiming that the company "copied" Apple's technology with the latest devices. The complaints against Samsung's latest offer claim that it no longer has 'innovation' or 'originality' in these devices, with most similar to the previous tech of its rival.

The backlash against Samsung is blowing up online, centering on its new wearables, like the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds, which are widely compared to Apple's.

Samsung 'Copied' Apple's Tech in Galaxy Unpacked, Claims Fans

Social media users and tech analysts are now retaliating against Samsung after the recent Galaxy Unpacked, claiming that it is copying Apple with its latest releases. A YouTuber called Snazzy Labs said that Samsung saw a "huge L" (a.k.a. loss) in its recent showcase as all of its unveilings were either similar to Apple or only delivered minimal changes.

The YouTuber claimed that Samsung was once "a leader in design and innovation" but is now creating knockoffs of the famed Apple technologies available in the market.

They even called Samsung a "third-rate OEM" manufacturer for what it delivered via the recent Galaxy Unpacked event.

What are the Samsung devices similar to those of Apple?

Most hate is centered on Samsung's wearables, mainly the new Galaxy Watch Ultra, which is almost a knockoff of the Apple Watch Ultra lineup, from its bands to the rounded square watch face.

Next up is the new Galaxy Buds3 series, which offers two variants. First, the Galaxy Buds3 is reminiscent of Apple's AirPods 3rd generation, down to its charging case, and next up is the Galaxy Buds3 Pro, which offers in-ear buds and noise cancelation, similar to the AirPods Pro releases.

Samsung and Apple's Rivalry in Technology

Since the dawn of the smartphone era, Samsung and Apple have been the top two companies that have battled for dominance in the tech world. South Korea's Android smartphone centers on its strengths, and Apple focuses on its premium experiences. The rivalry has existed until the most recent campaigns, and Samsung is known for taking jabs against Apple, with the latest being the UnCrush ad.

Additionally, early 2024 has also seen both companies getting the best out of each other. Apple initially held the spot for the best-selling smartphone with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, Samsung swept the title from under Apple in April, with the South Korean tech company crowned first in the top phone maker rankings in global shipments.

While Apple is already speculated to use Samsung displays for its upcoming tech, like the iPhone 16 Pro, among other components, there is still a rivalry between them. Now, many are considering Samsung the loser after the events of its Galaxy Unpacked, with the new Galaxy Watch Ultra, alongside Buds3 and Buds3 Pro, all reminiscent of Apple's tech.
