What to Expect from PlayStation's Showcase

Sony's return is a massive question mark for now, according to ComicBook Gaming, as the company's announced games from the last PlayStation Showcase are coming before the TGS 2024. However, Sony's return here means there are a lot more in store from the company to deliver by late September for fans, including the possibility of more PSVR 2 games now that its PC adapter is here and many more for the PS5.

Sony's PlayStation and What It Delivers

Sony and its renowned gaming division, PlayStation, have been among the pillars of gaming and technology in the past decades. They are known for their massive offers for various experiences available to the public. The company's public presence lately has been through its PlayStation Showcase events, which happen multiple times a year and deliver new experiences and games to look forward to.

While Sony's massive plans for the PlayStation this year are coming soon as the year unfolds, there is one major factor that the company will not deliver on, and these are first-party major franchise titles. This means that the games coming to Sony Interactive Entertainment and their partners will not see any releases this year, and this includes sequels for the likes of Marvel's Spider-Man, God of War, and more.

That being said, there is still much to expect from what Sony can deliver this year, showcasing releases from other developers that would make it big to its gaming platforms, including the PlayStation 5 and the PSVR 2. The latest confirmation of Sony Interactive Entertainment and PlayStation to the Tokyo Game Show 2024 ends the drought for its public appearances, to soon deliver on upcoming experiences for all.
