Google Chrome for Android could soon reportedly introduce a new feature that will allow for more security among users. The new feature looks to deny permissions to less-visited websites as revealed by the latest Canary build of the web browsing application.
Chrome's Canary build is one of the three developer builds that give willing users a glimpse at potential future updates for the web browsing application for testing, bug fixing, and before official public release. The other Chrome builds include Beta and Dev.
User @Leopeva shared news of the feature's availability in the most recent Chrome Canary release on the social media platform X. Although this feature has long been accessible on desktop versions of Chrome, this is the first time it has reportedly surfaced on the Chrome mobile app.
With this functionality, Chrome deletes permissions from URLs users haven't visited. According to sources, this is crucial because if people are not accessing certain websites to stay updated on what's happening, anything may happen on any website with specific permissions.
Even while this is now just experimental, there's a very good probability that it will eventually make its way into the public building. While the new feature remains to be publicly released, Chrome continues to introduce various new features for Android.

Listen to Google Chrome Pages
Google Chrome has also added the ability to read webpages aloud directly within the application. Google has added a new function called "Listen to this page" to the Chrome browser for Android devices. This feature allows users to ask to have web pages read aloud to them.
The new feature's playback controls are user-friendly and mimic those found in music or podcast apps. This makes it easy to navigate through the text, pause, change the reading speed, and skip forward and backward by 10-second intervals.
