Neuralink Implant Patient Calls the Tech an 'Aimbot,' Enhancing His Control for Gaming

The Neuralink implant does not only restore control but also assists.

The first patient of Neuralink to receive its brain implants recently gave an interview and revealed what the chip offers, referring to it as similar to an "aimbot" for gaming. The brain chip is known for offering its users the chance to regain control of devices digitally, but not yet for their physical mobility to come back, offering a massive improvement to their conditions.

Elon Musk and Neuralink are promising paraplegics a chance to live better lives with the brain chip, which is now being tested and monitored to see what it can do for users.

Neuralink Implant Patient Calls Tech 'Aimbot' for Gaming

A recent upload from The Joe Rogan Experience podcast on YouTube featured a special guest for the show, Joe Rogan, who was able to interview the first Neuralink test subject, Noland Arbaugh, where they talked about the tech. This interview was done more than three months after receiving the brain chip, with Arbaugh saying it is similar to having an "aimbot" for gaming.

Arbaugh said that through Neuralink, he was reintroduced to gaming, a feat that he enjoyed as a child but was unable to do so after suffering from his condition for the last eight years.

Moreover, the patient believed the chip as doing wonders for him in gaming, particularly as it is accurate, offers faster responses, and sometimes is ahead of him.

Enhanced Digital Controls for Neuralink's Chip

Through Neuralink's chip, Arbaugh saw massive enhancements to gaming, which he believes gives him an "unfair advantage" over other gamers. He claimed that he may be categorized in a different league because of this. For now, the Neuralink chip is limited in compatibility with mainstream games, but Arbaugh believes that in the future, he can play any game he wants while using it.

Neuralink's Brain Chip Testing

Earlier this year, a surprise announcement from Musk and Neuralink filled the world with a hopeful focus on the future of neuroscience and the administration of brain chips for patients. The company said that its patient, Arbaugh, saw a successful operation and has fully recovered already, with Neuralink regarding one of his first actions was to control a computer mouse to demonstrate the tech.

Later on, Arbaugh was shown with a Neuralink engineer and discussed what the brain chip offers for him, with both showing off to an X live stream how it offers a way to control digital devices by only thinking it and Musk regarding it as 'Telepathy.' Moreover, Arbaugh also discussed the surgery of how Neuralink's brain chip was administered, saying that it was a 'super easy' procedure.

While controlling digital devices with the brain did not come easily for Arbaugh, he regarded that he trained himself to harness the capabilities through the brain chip, and this led to massive possibilities for him. Arbaugh testified that Neuralink helped him regain his fondness for gaming, and having the brain implant is similar to having an 'aimbot,' assisting him with his control through the chip.
