There are new rumors about the next cover athlete for Visual Concepts and 2K Sports' upcoming title, NBA 2K25. The game is known to be a yearly release that features different top NBA players.
The recent NBA 2023-24 Season is over, and the Boston Celtics have been crowned its new champion. One of its star athletes is speculated to be the next face of the title.
'NBA 2K25' Allegedly Teased Its New Cover Athlete
A new post from NBA 2K's X account dedicated a special tribute to Jayson Tatum, the Boston Celtics' forward and one of the key players who helped secure the team's 18th ring in history. This video is only fitting for Tatum, who depicted a dominant performance in the NBA Finals, ending the series in only five games.
The video also showed the slogan "Ball Over Everything" on Tatum's tribute video, which a leaker known as Kurakasis connected to Take-Two Interactive's recent US and EU filing for the phrase.
While this could mean anything, there is reason to believe it would be used for the NBA 2K25, with Tatum speculated as its featured cover athlete. However, the recent tribute video and filing seemed to confirm that the slogan will be used for the next game and not necessarily for Tatum.
What to Expect from 'NBA 2K25'?
2K Games and Visual Concepts typically release this NBA game in the last quarter of the year. For 2024, it would be NBA 2K25, similar to 2023's release of 2K24.
The growing information and filings from the developers only suggest that the next game is near and will deliver a cover athlete befitting their iconic contribution to the league.
