The demand for content creation in marketing is on the rise, and Picsart is focused on easing the process from concept to visual output with its advanced AI tools.

These tools range from basic editing and retouching to comprehensive campaign launches. With this new partnership, Picsart subscribers can create their own unique images with full commercial rights and an indemnity.

According to the company, users can also access Picsart's extensive suite of over 3,000 editing tools to further customize and enhance these images.

Picsart CEO and founder Hovhannes Avoyan emphasized the necessity for marketers to have a constant stream of content without switching platforms.

He noted that Picsart offers vast customization options, content, and editing tools for everything from social media advertisements to website graphics.

This partnership with Getty Images, known for its prestigious commercial library, promises to provide users with commercially usable AI-generated imagery.

Grant Farhall, Chief Product Officer of Getty Images, pointed out that this collaboration links Getty Images' extensive creative library with the emerging needs of marketers and creators.

This connection promises creators the ability to produce high-quality content directly within the Picsart platform while maintaining the highest commercial safety standards.

The custom model is being developed by Picsart's AI lab, PAIR, under the leadership of Chief Scientist Humphrey Shi. The team at PAIR is focused on exploring safe and responsible generative AI to cater to the needs of Picsart's 150 million active users.

The model will be made accessible through Picsart's API services, enhancing the platform's offerings. In addition to static images, Getty Images' video content will also be integrated into the Picsart platform, providing high-quality motion content for Picsart's Plus members.

The anticipated release date for the Picsart x Getty Images model is set for later this year, but no further specific details have been provided.

"This partnership connects Getty Images' vast creative library with the next generation of marketers and creators, empowering them with high-quality content for use directly within the Picsart platform. It allows creators to bring their creative visions to life while maintaining the highest standards of commercial safety," Farhall said in a press statement.

Last year, Getty Images launched its AI image-generating tool, now serving hundreds of thousands of users with access to over 135 million copyrighted photos. Users of this tool can generate graphics based on specific instructions.

Craig Peters, CEO of Getty Images, noted that while initial payments to artists might be modest, the growing market for generative AI services is expected to lead to substantial revenue streams in the future.
