Windows 11 and mobile device file transfers could reportedly soon be quicker and more convenient as reports indicate that phones will soon be accessible via File Explorer.
The "Cross-Device Experience Host," purportedly announced by PhantomOfEarth on X, will allegedly allow users to force their devices to appear in File Explorer in a later release.
The report claims that Microsoft is working on a new function that lets users connect File Explorer to their mobile devices to transfer files quickly.
According to sources, the release date of the new feature and whether or not it will make it through the Dev and Beta branches before being incorporated into the final version are still unknown.

Windows 11 Features
Several new features are still being added to Windows 11, some of which are more beneficial than others. The most significant upgrade for 2024 is Windows 11 24H2, which was just made available for preview and now supports Wi-Fi 7, HDR Backgrounds, Voice Clarity, and more.
Wi-Fi 7 compatibility makes faster and more dependable wireless connections possible, and HDR backgrounds achieve better visual quality. They portray high-dynamic-range images like a sunny day more precisely on a user's screen.
The update also included "voice clarity," AI-enhanced noise cancellation that allows apps to focus on the user's voice and block out background noise, allowing for clearer communication during calls and recordings.
Additionally, the "superuser do" (sudo) command, which is mostly intended for developers, has been added to Windows. Like Unix-based systems, this command allows users to bypass security measures and run commands with more authority.
Windows 11 Adoption Rate
Even with these additional capabilities, Microsoft finds it difficult to sell Windows 11 to consumers. They are reluctant to upgrade, and some even go back to Windows 10 after using Windows 11.
In response to this problem, the company has launched several initiatives to advertise the updated operating system, such as a comprehensive video explaining the upgrade procedure. Nonetheless, there are still obstacles that keep people from switching.
Microsoft has issued a comprehensive list of features distinguishing Windows 11 from Windows 10 to encourage upgrades. This list, found on the Microsoft Windows website, attempts to highlight the enhancements and novel features of Windows 11.
The key features include the dynamic lighting settings, the revamped user interface, and iPhone synchronization. Microsoft hopes that by highlighting these improvements, people will see the advantages of updating.
Sources claim that user trust in Windows 11 is declining despite these initiatives. Microsoft seems unaware of the benefits that Windows 11 offers based on promotional strategies, such as the feature comparison list and the upgrade video.
Several underlying problems are slowing the adoption of Windows 11. Windows 11's stringent system requirements, which prohibit many older PCs from upgrading, are a significant contributing factor.
