The latest leak behind Call of Duty suggests that it will have a massive crossover with the popular Fallout franchise shortly, offering the Wasteland experiences to the war zone of the game. This crossover also makes sense as Microsoft owns both franchises despite being handled by two different subsidiaries, Activision Blizzard and Bethesda Softworks.
In this crossover, leaks reveal that it will feature skins, weapons, vehicles, and more that will get the Fallout treatment, available to access via Call of Duty.
Call of Duty Gets on the Fallout Craze, Crossover Leaks Appear
ModernWarzone, a renowned COD leaker, brought a new rumor in the first-person shooter game's future developments with Call of Duty getting on the Fallout craze soon. Leaks behind a Fallout crossover appeared online, with Modern Warzone known for being a notable insider behind the franchise, centering on a possible skin dropping in.
However, one would expect that the skin in question would prioritize the T-60 or other versions of the Power Armor coming to Call of Duty straight from the Wasteland, but it is not.
Instead, the leak points to a Vault Dweller skin coming to the game, centering on Fallout's iconic blue and yellow suits.
Microsoft's Call of Duty and Fallout: What to Expect?
The leak further claimed that Call of Duty characters including Captain Price, Ghost, and Soap would be the recipients of the new Vault Dweller suit, available for customization on Modern Warfare III and Warzone 2.0.
It will be part of the Operator Bundle that will soon arrive for the game, but there were no mentions of a weapon blueprint apart from gun skins that could also be applied to existing firearms in the game.
The Call of Duty and Fallout Franchise
Activision Blizzard's Call of Duty has been working on expanding more of its franchise not only with the developments that bring more of what it has to offer, but also with collaborations. There have been various iconic crossovers that took place in the past, including Amazon Prime Video's The Boys made it into the action shooter game, among many others.
In recent times, Amazon Prime Video's series adaptation of Fallout paved the way for the franchise to see another rise to fame, with it being the most in-demand title in both the streaming and console industries. Bethesda made sure to deliver new experiences for the franchise, with Fallout 4 seeing a next-generation update from the studio, along withmassive crossovers with other titles.
Epic Games' Fortnite was the last to deliver on a Fallout crossover which delivers the Wasteland and the T-60 Power Armor to the battle royale island, one that reignited the hype over the franchise. However, there is another renowned action shooter title that will not let this opportunity go, and considering that both are owned by Microsoft, Call of Duty and Fallout's crossover is one to look out for.
