Warner Bros. Games Launches MultiVersus

Player First Games developed MultiVersus with production and live management support from Warner Bros. Games San Diego. The game features a constantly expanding lineup of characters from various Warner Bros. Discovery franchises.

Season 1: Puns & Villainy has begun, bringing new characters into the game, including DC Super-Villain The Joker, Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th series, Banana Guard from Adventure Time, and many more.

MultiVersus introduces a new PvE (Player vs. Environment) feature called Rifts, offering a different experience compared to the competitive PvP matches. The game's battles take place in various reimagined environments, with new maps inspired by Dexter's Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls series.

MultiVersus' Character Roster

The character roster in MultiVersus is also vast, with new additions such as The Joker, Jason Voorhees, Banana Guard, and Agent Smith joining existing characters like Batman, Superman, Shaggy and Velma from Scooby-Doo, Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, among many others.

Additionally, players have various modes to choose from, both online and locally. The Rifts mode provides a PvE experience with boss fights, mini-games, and unique rewards, helping players learn game mechanics, test characters, and hone their skills, whether playing solo or cooperatively online.

The game also features 2 vs. 2 team-based cooperative mode, 1 vs. 1 matches, 4-player free-for-all, co-op vs. A.I., custom online lobbies, and many more.

The game's maps include dynamic environments like Dexter's Laboratory and the City of Townsville, which features The Powerpuff Girls' main villain, Mojo Jojo. Other available maps are the Batcave from DC, Tree Fort from Adventure Time, Scooby's Haunted Mansion, and Sky Arena from Steven Universe.

Every fighter in MultiVersus comes with a detailed set of combat mechanics to bring the characters to life and immerse players in the action. The game leverages tailor-made rollback netcode to aid in online play and matchmaking, ensuring a smooth experience.
