The "MultiVersus" game from Warner Bros. and Player First Games is already on its Season 2, and one of the most requested characters to join its free-to-play online brawl is none other than "Breaking Bad's" Walter White.
The famous lead from the hit television show by Vince Gilligan is a bizarre request from gamers, especially as Warner Bros. does not own the rights to the character. Still, this odd request has been going on for some time now, and one of its senior developers on the game has teased something regarding Mr. White's appearance.
Is Walter White coming to 'MultiVersus' Game?
Bryan Cranston's portrayal of Walter White, a.k.a. the criminal and meth-maker Heisenberg, has made waves in the pop culture industry, and this is also something gamers have been pushing for "MultiVersus" for the longest time.
A Twitter stan account replied to Player First Games' New Year wishes for all, saying that the only way to complete or make their year is by adding Walter White to the game.
This has caught the attention of Dan Eder, a senior character artist in the game, who replied to the tweet and said "expect good things."
It is not exactly known what this entails for Walter White and "MultiVersus," but this is a massive teaser as to who will arrive soon in the game.
'MultiVersus': Is it a Good Game?
"MultiVersus" delivers an online PvP or PvE (PvC) game that has different modes for people to enjoy. It features a platform action game that pits in either a 1v1, 2v2 co-op, or a 4-player free-for-all brawl for its massive roster of characters.
Mostly, it focuses on Warner Bros.-owned franchises and characters including the "Looney Tunes," DC Comics, "Tom and Jerry," "Rick and Morty," "Adventure Time," "Scooby Doo," and "The Iron Giant."
The game aims to add more characters soon, and despite not owning the rights to "Breaking Bad's" Walter White (under AMC and Vince Gilligan), there might be a possibility of his arrival in the future.
'Breaking Bad' Franchise
If you have not watched Vince Gilligan's critically-acclaimed "Breaking Bad" series, then you need to start now, as it is one of the highest-regarded shows on television during its run, and on streaming platforms. The series's fame already garnered multiple awards and nominations from the Emmys, with a massive cult following on the title.
The show is considered a masterpiece from Gilligan, which led to a spinoff show called "Better Call Saul," which features Mr. White's obnoxious lawyer, Jimmy McGill, played by Bob Odenkirk. The show already ended in 2022, with its story following the early life of McGill and his many identities, before he became a drug kingpin's lawyer.
The Gilliganverse still has many plans for the future, and it was previously revealed that the creator was planning for a "Breaking Bad" adaptation to video games that will have the same vibes as "Grand Theft Auto."
Still, while that has no information yet, people are pushing for Heisenberg's appearance on the "MultiVersus" game, even without ties to the title. With a massive request put in by many, this seems to be a possibility soon, with a teaser from its developer regarding White's arrival.
