Tekken 8 has recently partnered with Chipotle Mexican Grill, forming an alliance between the gaming franchise and the fast-casual restaurant chain.
Through this collaboration, players of Tekken 8 will have the opportunity to earn in-game rewards by making digital purchases on the Chipotle app and Chipotle.com.
As part of the partnership, Chipotle has introduced a new digital menu item inspired by Tekken fans. The item features Tekken 8 as the title game for the 2024 Chipotle Challenger Series.
Additionally, Chipotle will serve as the presenting partner of the 2024 Evolution Championship Series (Evo).
Teken-Chipotle Partnership Offers Premium In-Game Currency
To kick off the collaboration, Chipotle offers Tekken 8 players the chance to earn premium in-game currency by placing orders through the Chipotle app or Chipotle.com and using the promo code EWGF623.
With every qualifying order, players will receive a code for 500 TEKKEN COINS, which they can use to unlock various costumes and items in the official Tekken 8 in-game shop.
Chipotle Rewards members can also take advantage of this promotion by redeeming 250 points in the Chipotle Rewards Exchange to receive an additional code for 500 Tekken COINS.
This initiative rewards loyal Chipotle customers and aims to bring a new dimension to the gaming experience for Tekken 8 players.
Tekken 8 Battle Bowl
In addition to the in-game currency offer, Chipotle has introduced the Tekken 8 Battle Bowl, an exclusive menu item available for a limited time on the Chipotle app and Chipotle.com.
The Battle Bowl features a unique combination of ingredients chosen by Tekken fans, such as Chicken, White Rice, Black Beans, Fresh Tomato Salsa, Roasted Chili-Corn Salsa, Fajita Veggies, Cheese, and Guac.
The 2024 Chipotle Challenger Series
Chipotle is also set to host the 2024 edition of its signature esports competition, the Chipotle Challenger Series, in partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Tekken 8 will serve as the tournament title game, the first-ever branded event on the PlayStation Tournaments platform.
"The amazing reception we received from the Fighting Game Community in 2023, notably Evo attendees cheering for our ads when they aired during the competition, has inspired us to double down on our investment in FGC," Chris Brandt, Chief Brand Officer at Chipotle, said in a press release statement.
"Gaming is a force shaping culture, so it's imperative that we show up in the right way for this passionate community by providing real value and access to exclusive experiences."
The Chipotle Challenger Series Grand Finals will be broadcast live on the PlayStation esports Twitch and YouTube channels, providing players with a global platform to showcase their skills. Prizes for the competition include Free Chipotle for a Year, a trip to Evo 2024 in Las Vegas, and many more.
