Minecraft: Bedrock Edition ‘Hardcore Mode’ Now Testing—No Respawns in Survival Mode

Minecraft is taking 'Rest in Peace' literally.

Looking for a challenge on Minecraft? Well, look no further. The 'Hardcode Mode' is now available on the Bedrock Edition of the game. This particular mode offers no respawns for players who deplete their health on Survival Mode.

This latest experience from Minecraft literally takes 'life or death' situations real for the game, meaning that it would not allow you to respawn here.

No respawns mean you can no longer access what you have built during this Hardcore Mode session, emulating real life.

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 'Hardcore' Mode Now Testing

The official Minecraft account on X is now inviting people who own the Bedrock Edition to try out its latest 'Hardcore Mode' under testing in the game.

This new mode is available under Survival Mode, which offers gamers a new kind of difficulty. Not only does it offer a more grueling experience with the environment and threats lurking around, but it also means dying in-game is permanent.

According to its Minecraft developer, Sophie Austin, it is one of the "hardest of modes" available in the game, the most difficult of which is available in the Bedrock Edition's preview and beta.

Users would have a "one-life rule," which means that there would be no backup plans when entering the Hardcode Mode.

However, this does not mean that they would have no chance of doing it all over again, although users may re-enter the game back to the start, which may push them over the edge of waving goodbye to the end of the beginning.

Survival Mode's Hardcore Have No Respawns

Hardcore Mode is a sub-category of Survival Mode, a famed experience on Minecraft in which players are given only 10 hearts for the duration of their time there. Players also have to look out for their hunger bar, which could drain them of life.

Dying in Hardcore Mode means no respawns or do-overs for their specific session.

Minecraft and its Franchise

The best-selling game of all time is not yet done in what it has to offer the world for its renowned sandbox experience, one that offers gamers a chance to build their worlds or explore more of it in its different modes.

Minecraft's franchise offers a lot for players, and despite following the pixel-style and retro gameplay, it is still regarded as one of the G.O.A.T.s (Greatest of All Time).

Mojang has also given Minecraft players a lot to enjoy apart from the original experiences available, and this is the availability of downloadable content (DLCs) in collaboration with famed media entities.

Recently, Minecraft teased a Dune crossover for the game, showcasing the scorching sun and desert heat. The game may soon have rumored skins and maps.

If Minecraft is getting a little boring or repetitive for you, the Bedrock Edition's Hardcore Mode may be the thing you are looking for. Surviving the grueling world is the main key to avoiding permanent death in-game.
