The Season 2 finale of Invincible was recently dropped, and for players who have watched closely what it delivered, they may have come across a Fortnite easter egg in the show.
However, it was not an Easter egg, as reports claimed that Amazon Prime Video's hit animated show worked closely with Epic Games to create this show's reference to the game.
Alongside this easter egg, Epic and Invincible showrunners made the crossover a reality, with skins and items now available on the battle royale.
Invincible Season 2 Ending Drops Fortnite Easter Egg
*MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD*
Amazon Prime Video aired the last episode of Season 2 for Invincible earlier today, and it quickly saw trending status for the explosive finale, because of Invincible's weapon of choice that smacked away the season's villain, Angstrom Levy.
In clips and screenshots shared online, it was shown that Mark Grayson, a.k.a. Invincible, brought the iconic 'Dragon's Breath Sniper Rifle' to his world after being sent by Levy to multiple dimensions.
Grayson was sent to different areas of the multiverse where he came across the likes of Batman, Spider-Man, The Walking Dead, and ultimately, a world where Fortnite is real.
While Invincible did not fire the weapon, it still was a neat easter egg, which gave a nod to the famed battle royale.
Fortnite x Invincible Crossover Now Available
ShiinaBR, a renowned Fortnite leaker, revealed that this was a legit collaboration between Invincible and the game, with Epic Games officially cooperating with the show and Donald Mustard helping bring it to the Prime Video series.
Moreover, the Fortnite x Invincible crossover is now available in-game, with players getting a chance to purchase Omni-Man and Atom Eve skins on the item shop, along with special items part of the collab.
Invincible and its Massive Crossovers
The famed comic book series adaptation of Amazon Prime Video is best known for being a global hit since its release in 2021, offering the world a chance to dive into the secrets of the hero-led world.
The first season was a banger, especially with the grand reveal that Omni-Man was the villain of the story, tearing his son, Mark Grayson, torn and responsible for multiple deaths.
Its popularity is massive, and it led to the arrival of Omni-Man to NetherRealm's Mortal Kombat 1 as part of the Kombat Pack DLC, which will periodically offer the new characters.
Last year, leaks about Fortnite's Chapter 5 also mentioned the possible arrival of Omni-Man, alongside other Invincible characters and items joining the game.
That leak is now a reality, as Epic Games and Prime Video's Invincible made it possible and expanded more on this massive crossover to the show's season finale, making Fortnite an alternate dimension.
The multiverse to which Mark Grayson was sent was Fortnite, and it is the real deal thanks to this crossover, bringing a special weapon to smack Levy out on the show, marking its crossover's availability in-game.
