Skydance New Media surprised the world with the earlier trailer reveal of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, a game that centers on the earlier adventures of Captain America and that era's Black Panther before the Avengers.
The heroes in the game came out during the so-called "Golden Age of Comics," with the superhero team-up fighting in the World War II against the German Nazis.
This is where The Invaders came along, as the team was written in the 1970s, a.k.a. the Bronze Age. Marvel brought flashbacks of their previous escapades, featuring iconic characters from the Golden Age.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Brings the Golden Age
Earlier today, Skydance New Media and Marvel Games introduced Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, a new video game that brings a classic story from the comics of heroes fighting against the German Nazis and Hydra adversaries.
It features two renowned Marvel heroes, Steve Rogers' Captain America and Azzuri's Black Panther, the grandfather of T'Challa and Marvel's main inheritor of the mantle.
It centers on the Golden Age of Comics' stories from Marvel, with the company showing off its heroes fighting alongside Allied troops against the fictional evil organization Hydra, the scientific division of Nazi Germany.

Will Marvel 1943 Bring The Invaders?
However, one may wonder if this game would also feature The Invaders, a superhero team that first debuted in Avengers #71 in 1969, rooting back to their adventures and efforts during the said World War II events.
This featured Captain America and Buckey Barnes, joined by the original Human Torch android, Jim Hammond, Namor the Submariner, and Toro.
The team did not get its name until 1975, when it officially came together as a team and adopted the name, with Marvel starting their series in 1979.
ComicBook Gaming regarded that this game may set up a future appearance of The Invaders in a possible sequel of Marvel 1943, a DLC, or a standalone title centered on their adventures.
Marvel's Games
Unlike DC, Marvel is now only ramping up its efforts to bring its comic franchise to games with the arrival of modern adaptations like Marvel's Midnight Suns, Square Enix's adaptations, and more.
It might not be as massive as DC in video games, but there are certain efforts from the company, including Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics' Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy.
On the other hand, Sony's renowned franchise features Marvel Comics characters, centering on the highly successful PlayStation exclusive, Marvel's Spider-Man franchise, and an upcoming Wolverine game from Insomniac.
EA's Motive Studios is also working with Marvel Games to bring a standalone, single-player adventure of the genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist Iron Man, which is currently under development and coming soon.
Its massive efforts on games are expanding more of the comic company's franchise to various platforms, with new collaborations and partnerships that showcase more of what it offers.
Skydance's Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra offers a significant return to a popular Golden Age of Comics story that centers on the Invaders' members. However, whether the team will get a feature here alongside other famed characters remains unknown.
