A forthcoming PS5 update promises to address a quality-of-life feature that users have long awaited. Despite the advancements made with the PS4 generation, the PS5 initially lacked certain features, including the ability to adjust the brightness of its power indicator.
Improved Visibility
With the upcoming update, PS5 users will gain the ability to adjust the brightness of the power indicator to their preference. The update will offer three options: Bright (Standard), Medium, and Dim, according to ComicBook. However, there won't be an option to increase the brightness, as the indicator is already quite bright by default.
User Feedback
This adjustment comes in response to feedback from PS5 players who have expressed a desire for this feature since the console's launch. It remains unclear why this option wasn't available initially. It could be due to it being a low priority or a result of time constraints during the console's development phase. Regardless, the issue is now being addressed.
Bringing Parity
Interestingly, while the Xbox Series X has offered this brightness control option, it emits less light than the PS5. Nevertheless, Sony is ensuring that PS5 users have parity in this aspect with the forthcoming update.
Overall, this update reflects Sony's commitment to continuously improve the user experience on the PS5 platform, addressing user feedback and implementing features that enhance usability and customization options.
If you want to optimize your gaming experience through this setting, here's a simple PS5 trick you can do.
New PS5 Patch is Coming to Helldivers 2

Arrowhead said that they do not expect that performance issues will arise on PC. However, PS5 players remain unaffected by the problems through the latest update.
Meanwhile, The Verge reports that Microsoft is somewhat gearing up to bring Xbox games to PS5 and Nintendo Switch. This might be what the company envisions for its next-gen console.
If this is real, we are yet to see the arrival of Starfield on new platforms. The Bethesda-exclusive title was delayed. Microsoft noticed that at that time, fewer players were getting Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. It might have been surmised that it's time to expand to new consoles to reach out to new player bases.
Based on previous rumors, Sea of Thieves and Indiana Jones might also appear on non-Xbox platforms. Even Hi-Fi Rush was rumored to be available on Switch this year.
