Here are some of the changes made for PS5 system software update 23.02-08.20.00.06.

Sony has rolled out an extensive system software update, version 23.02-08.20.00.06, for the PlayStation 5 (PS5). This update brings some notable enhancements and fixes to the console, making it an exciting addition for PS5 users.

According to IGN, the update introduces a significant improvement to music control within the console's control center.

With a sleek two-column layout, users can seamlessly navigate through various music categories, playlists, and songs. This enhancement promises a more user-friendly and enjoyable music experience on the PS5.

Sony has not overlooked its virtual reality enthusiasts. The update also enhances settings for the PlayStation VR2. One notable feature allows users to prevent their surroundings from unintentionally appearing on the screen while broadcasting games with the PS VR2.

This can be configured by navigating to [Settings] > [Accessories] > [PlayStation VR2] and activating [Block See-Through View on TV]. This feature ensures a more immersive and uninterrupted VR gaming experience.

New Voice Command on PS5

Voice commands are gaining more utility with this update. By simply saying "What's new?" via Voice Command on any screen, users can now access information about new PS5 features.

As of writing, only PS5 owners from the US and the UK will be able to use the Voice Command Preview.

Improved Messages and Usability

So much for that, the new software update also includes improvements in messaging and usability on certain screens, enhancing the overall interface and usability of the PS5.

In a world where updates often remain shrouded in vague references to 'stability,' Sony's detailed release notes for this system software update offer transparency and clarity to its users.

But that's not all; Sony has more in store for PlayStation enthusiasts. The company is gearing up to launch smaller PS5 models in November, which will provide additional options for users. To add, the PS5 Slim's optional disc drive needs an internet connection for pairing, which has sparked conversations about video game preservation.

The smaller PS5 design boasts 1TB of storage for both the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition, an upgrade from the original 825GB in the earlier models.

As the inventory of the current PS5 model sells out, the new PS5 model will become the exclusive option available to gamers, offering a more varied and flexible gaming experience.

Meanwhile, Tech Times reported that there's a leak about the first PS5 Slim bundle. The report suggests that it will come with "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III."
