Ayaneo is back in the gaming scene with the unveiling of its latest handheld, the Ayaneo Flip. This new retro-style handheld takes its design inspiration from the beloved Nintendo DS, offering gamers a nostalgic yet modern gaming experience (via Dexerto).
Dual-Screen Gaming Fun
The Ayaneo Flip comes in two exciting varieties: the Ayaneo Flip DS and the Ayaneo Flip KB. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Nintendo DS, the Ayaneo Flip DS boasts a dual-screen setup reminiscent of the classic handheld.
The secondary touch screen, featuring a resolution of 960x640 and a 3:2 aspect ratio, is tailored for seamless interaction with the AYASpace software launcher. This thoughtful integration enhances the overall gaming experience, allowing users to delve into the pleasures of dual screens.
On the other hand, the Ayaneo Flip KB takes a unique approach by incorporating a fully functional keyboard with an automatic backlight. Emphasizing an ergonomic design and a gamepad-oriented layout, this version promises a superior gaming experience with a comfortable grip and well-balanced controls.
Power-Packed Performance
Both versions of the Ayaneo Flip share some standard features that cater to gamers' demands for performance and functionality. Equipped with a 7-inch IPS screen boasting a 120Hz refresh rate, Hall Effect joysticks, Hall sensor triggers, and haptic feedback, these handhelds are designed to deliver an immersive gaming experience. The cooling system, a fusion of liquid and air cooling, ensures optimal performance for the internal components.
Under the hood, Ayaneo offers two chip options to power these devices-the AMD Ryzen 7 8840U and the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U. The latter is expected to hit the market first, with shipping anticipated to commence in March 2024. These powerful processors, combined with Radeon 780M integrated graphics, promise a seamless gaming experience for enthusiasts.
Where to Get Yours
Excitement is building up as Ayaneo has an active IndieGoGo page for the Ayaneo Flip. The Ayaneo Flip DS is available at an Early Bird price of $739, while the Ayaneo Flip KB starts at $699.
