The world is down to several weeks before the arrival of the Vision Pro, and while there are no official release dates announced yet, a renowned insider unveiled the process to go through for those looking to demo the wearable. All in-store demonstrations of the Vision Pro in respective Apple Stores will go through a process.
Not considering the possible queue for the XR headset's demo, its process would already take a chunk of users' time, so best to be prepared when heading to try out the headset.
Apple Vision Pro Demo will See a Long Wait and Prep In-Store
Mark Gurman's latest Power-On newsletter via Bloomberg unveiled how the process of the Vision Pro's demonstration would take place in an Apple Store. This sets the expectation that users have with the Vision Pro as it drops to physical locations that Apple would supply with a demo unit for users to try the $3,500-worth wearable featuring mixed reality experiences.
Each customer that wants to try on the Vision Pro would have to undergo a series of preparations for it including face scans and a custom assembly of the XR wearable. Moreover, there would be a walkthrough of the device's interface and how to properly control it, alongside a device calibration for users.
As per Gurman, this is before the 25-minute demonstration of the actual unit for the interested party.
Apple Vision Pro In-Store Demo: Is It Worth It?
With the latest report from Gurman setting the expectations on the Vision Pro's in-store and actual demo, one could ask themselves if previewing the device would be worth it. While there is no bearing on whether users get to try it or not, it would be an important parameter to consider when buying this expensive wearable, especially when exploring the pros and cons of owning one.
However, prepare yourself for a long prep time and wait, as it is expected that many will look into trying the device too once it drops.
Apple's Vision Pro Mixed Reality
After almost three-quarters of a year's wait for the Vision Pro, it is finally coming for the world to see, expected to be arriving this February 2024 as per Ming-Chi Kuo.
With Vision Pro being on the cusp of all aspects of current realities in the world, it promises significant experiences to deliver to users, one that it shared in the last WWDC 2023 showcase. Apart from its impressive displays, and seamless connections to the Apple mobile devices, the company also ensures that the apps would not be limited for the device as it would also allow it to use iPhone and iPad apps to be compatible with the wearable.
Like when there is a new iPhone or Mac model released, users get the chance to demo it in-store before purchasing, especially for those who want to know the physical feeling of using the device. With the Vision Pro known for its skyrocketing prices, Apple allows a demo for all interested parties of the wearable but let it be known that it would take a long time to use one, with the preparations needed before the experience.
