After a massive deliberation of Verizon's issue in court, the company decided to settle the complaints against them, with affected customers getting as much as $100 each. This will come from the $100 million fee that Verizon needs to pay to the court and selected eligible customers, closing the book on this massive case against the alleged unfair practices of the telco giant.

Verizon Settles $100M Lawsuit, Customers Get $100 Each
The Verizon Administrative Charges Settlement announced that customers who were affected by the issue throughout the years are now eligible to receive as much as $100 from the company. It follows the settlement agreement between the complainants and the telco giant after a significant discovery of the extra charges that customers pay the company without their knowledge.
It was referred to in the class action lawsuit that postpaid individuals under Verizon were given a monthly "Administrative Charge and/or Administrative and Telco Recovery Charge."
Verizon did not disclose what this extra fee is for, and the company still denies that there is such a thing from the customers' billing.
Here's How to Get Your Payout from Verizon
Affected customers were already identified by Verizon and were sent emails to notify them about their eligibility to get their money back from the company. However, it has not yet identified all, and users who believe that Verizon owes them may file a claim before April 15, 2024, via the company's website.
Eligible customers include those who have been part of its postpaid program from 2016 through 2023.
