If your Beeper Mini app is still seeing an issue with sending or receiving iMessage on Android, then this new fix is for you, but it requires a Mac computer to activate the feature again. This fix will now use Mac's access via its Beeper Cloud app for the Apple computer platform, allowing the authentication of your Android device's iMessage communications feature.
Beeper Mini Fix: Now Requires Mac to Setup
In a new announcement by the Beeper Team via its subreddit, a new fix for Android's iMessage solution via the Beeper Mini app is seeing another fix for it to work on other smartphones. The company said that this fix will help "stabilize the iMessage situation" on Beeper Cloud and Mini, further stating that this is a reliable solution that the company already tested.
This solution requires a Mac computer for users to authenticate their devices, with the company also suggesting that users seek out a friend who owns the Apple PC.
It would be done via the Beeper Cloud app for PCs, particularly the Mac version, and through this, the team promises that it will allow continued communication in blue bubbles.
iMessage for Android Sees Further Issues
Through the Beeper Cloud app, users will have a "unique registration data" that would make the Android to iOS connections "very reliable."
Beeper's registration data on the Mac may be used for their Beeper Mini app to get the experience working again in Android, with 10 to 20 Beeper Mini users using a single registration data needed.
Moreover, Beeper claims that they need to "periodically regenerate this data" for the experience to work, asking that users turn on their Mac with Beeper Cloud once per week or month.
The Cost of Android's iMessage
Massive excitement was set for the arrival of one of the first integrations of iMessage for Android, with the Beeper Mini app promising a new experience that will bridge the communication gap between both platforms. However, this app centered on a technical glitch that allowed users to send the coveted blue bubbles that have made Apple's iMessage an exclusive feature for iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
After this, Apple decided to patch this "vulnerability" that had been exploited by Beeper, the Mini app's creators, and this left the app unable to send or receive iMessage on their Android. This essentially left Beeper Mini without a function, with the company later offering a fix that makes the experience work again, allowing Android users to enjoy Apple's exclusive tech.
The fix did not see a long working time for Beeper Mini as the most recent discussions regarding the app talked about another issue with the iMessage for Android. Now, the company has yet again offered a fix to allow this experience to be accessible and functioning for all, requiring the use of Macs to activate the experience on mobile, but who knows how long this will provide the relief.
