Mistral AI announced its latest language model called the Mixtral 8x7B, and it talked about how it can go on par with OpenAI's GPT-3.5 in the present space. First off, it centers on a mixture of experts model (MoE) with open weights, claiming to be the strongest and features a permissive license, further stating that it is the best overall regarding cost.
In particular, it matches or outperforms GPT3.5 on most standard benchmarks.
