The rumors about the Nintendo Switch 2 are heating up and fans couldn't think of the cons that they will experience once the transition begins.
The alleged arrival of the Switch successor might be just around the corner. It might be harder for the company to retain the users if the accounts will be reset for a new console.
To keep its lasting relationship with consumers, Nintendo will continue to "grow Nintendo accounts," treating them a vital component in its business.
Over 330 Million Nintendo Accounts Right Now
In a recent report by Nintendo Life, the Big N says in its latest financial update that there are more than 330 million accounts globally.
Across 164 countries and regions, the user base continues to boom and the publisher projects it to continue as the Switch 2 shift approaches.
What has helped the company to easily reach out to other communities is its mobile app. This brings some users closer to the platform, the gaming library, and game forums.
Nintendo Accounts as Vital Business Component
With that being said, Nintendo sees these accounts as helpful in its undertaking. Actually, it intends to make them a "vital business foundation" in the future. This objective will help them retain consumers in the long run.
"Prior to the introduction of Nintendo Account, it was not easy to maintain users' information across platform generations, including details such as their software purchases and gameplay records.
"The introduction of the Nintendo Account made it possible to tie a user's history to their personal account. This will be a foundation upon which Nintendo can maintain a lasting relationship with consumers."
As of Sept. 30, more than 38 million gamers have Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
With the continuous release of DLCs especially for AAA games such as the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass content, Nintendo is headed to the right track in preserving its users.
The massive content inside the Nintendo Switch Online is enough to make gamers stay. It has a lot of titles-and even those that came from older consoles such as GameBoy and NES.
The recent abandonment of the Switch's console lifecycle system only proves that Nintendo is up for a bigger game in business. By releasing more games on the platform, it highlights that it is hell-bent to retain more users for the succeeding years.
Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-Order?
Recently, GSMPRO, a Chile-based online retailer, is spotted to have posted a pre-order page for the Switch 2, according to Notebookcheck.
The reservation page is written in Spanish and it has sketchy write-ups about the Switch successor. For instance, the description indicates that the upcoming handheld will cost 400,000 Chilean Pesos or $454. It's quite close to the rumored pricing of the console which is $449.
It gets worse the more you look at the page since it's full of made-up features that are mentioned in previous leaks. For instance, the site claims that it will arrive with a T239 chip. We mentioned this leak in our previous report.
