Nintendo's Mario Kart Franchise

For more than three decades, Nintendo has given the world the Mario Kart franchise, and its first outing centered on Super Mario Kart which was released for the company's Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). This renowned title was re-released through Nintendo's Switch Online, available on both subscription tiers, offering to relive the retro experience.

The last Mario Kart was Mario Kart 8 which was originally released on Wii U, but Nintendo decided to retain this title for its release on the Switch consoles, centering on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. While it left many gamers awaiting Mario Karts 9 and 10, the company offered the popular Booster Course Pass DLC which offers various maps to race in, with familiar ones from its old games, as well as new characters.

While it came in waves for the past years, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's DLC is a massive hit among fans and gamers for the Nintendo Switch as it offered various experiences that refreshed the game. Now that it released its final DLC alongside the previous discontinuation of Mario Kart Tour on the smartphone, gamers are awaiting its successor, but for now, they get to enjoy this final wave of the DLC.
