The new Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has seen a warm welcome from fans and gamers, with many seeing the new experiences available, including the easter eggs in the game. One particular easter egg had gamers rambling on about the future content it will offer, with many believing that this specific one is hinting at a Daredevil DLC to arrive soon as a new experience for gamers.
The Man Without Fear, a.k.a. Matt Murdock, is best known for also being a New York-based hero like Spidey, but what made fans think he is coming to the game?
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Easter Egg Hints about Daredevil DLC
Fans have been making massive buzz online regarding a discovery in a certain location in Marvel's Spider-Man 2's New York City, where a back room hidden behind a bookshelf can be seen bearing a strange symbol inside. That same five-point symbol is also seen above the locked door of the said hidden room, with no one in it and no interactions triggered by it.
This room was theorized to be a secret room for the criminal organization known as "The Hand," and they are best known to be "ninjas" that battle against Chaste, a martial arts organization led by Stick.
Stick is known as the teacher who taught Daredevil, a.k.a. Matt Murdock, everything he has to know about fighting and honing his senses after going blind.
It was speculated that this secret room points out to a future Daredevil DLC for Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
More Hints on Daredevil's Future Arrival?
This follows Brian Intihar's cryptic teaser about the missing "Nelson and Murdock - Attorneys at Law" sign that was discovered earlier by gamers in the new Spider-Man game. Here, the creative director only said "Stay tuned," hinting at the possible arrival of Daredevil in the game.
Marvel's Spider-Man Franchise
It was only in 2022 that Insomniac Games and PlayStation confirmed that the true sequel to the 2018 game is coming, with Marvel's Spider-Man 2 confirmed for its 2023 release date. The game was made exclusive to the PlayStation 5 unlike the first game, Marvel's Spider-Man which was first released for the PlayStation 4 around five years ago.
The game was followed by Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but this was not exactly a sequel game to the original one, with this centering on introducing the next-generation hero to the world. Little did the world know that these two characters are collaborating to protect New York from the many threats that come, centering on this legitimate sequel game.
In the comics, Spider-Man is not complete without the mention of Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, who also lives and protects New York from different menaces, including the criminal organization known as The Hand. With the crime group's alleged appearance on the latest Marvel's Spider-Man 2, fans are now believing that this is a massive hint to Daredevil's future DLC, with Insomniac still zipped about what the future holds.
