Apple Jobs Among Most Sought-After, Survey Says Over 50 Applicants Daily

Apple receives 53.7 job applications on average daily.

When it comes to coveted job positions in the United States, Apple consistently ranks high, trailing closely behind tech giants Netflix, Amazon, and Microsoft.

As job hiring becomes more competitive, Apple's CEO Tim Cook points out the company' cautious approach when it comes to the process. This way, mass layoffs can be avoided or reduced. The recurring trend has remained a trademark in the tech industry.

While the Cupertino firm remains in recruitment mode, a recent report reveals that it consistently garners a significant number of applicants, making it one of the top choices for job seekers.

Resume.io tapped into LinkedIn's resources to gauge the volume of applicants for various job postings. The survey offers some information about the competition level for a certain position in many companies. This is helpful to see which jobs are the most attractive in the eyes of the applicants.

Among the tech giants, Apple stands out, receiving an average of 53.7 job applications per day, the survey finds.

While Apple is highly competitive, Netflix claims the top spot with an astounding average of 84.87 daily applicants. Amazon closely follows with 73.25 applicants per day, and Microsoft secures its place just ahead of Apple with 57.9 daily applicants. This places big tech companies in the top rankings, which also include Meta, Oracle, and Tesla.

Alphabet and IBM hold the 18th and 19th positions, respectively, while the remaining top 20 features companies from diverse sectors, including banking and retail.

Least Competitive Employers

According to Apple Insider, the study also highlights the contrast in applicant interest, with restaurant chains Zaxby's and Applebee's ranking as the least competitive American companies to apply to. On average, each job listing at these establishments receives a mere 0.01 applicants per day.

The popular job-seeking and network-building platform represents only one avenue for potential employees.

Apple's strategic hiring practices are another factor, as the company has reduced its internal recruitment team by 100 members in 2022. This shift means that job seekers are more likely to apply directly to Apple rather than being recruited away from other companies.

If there are job hirings conducted by Apple, there are also times that it slashes a few positions like in the case of the corporate retail teams.

Previously, it was reported by Tech Times that the iPhone maker has cut a small number of workers assigned in the corporate designations.

At that time, the source did not specify how many employees were removed. The only thing that it mentioned was that the number is "likely very small."

Apple Halloween Mac Event

For fans who are waiting for a surprising yet spooky revelation on Oct. 30, Apple is scheduled to launch a Mac event.

Tech Times reported that the "Scary Fast" event will introduce new Mac products including the M3-equipped 13-inch, 14-inch, and 16-inch MacBook.
