A new round of features is now here for Threads and Mark Zuckerberg is the bearer of good news for all, sharing the latest the app has to offer including an easier way to post GIFs and allowing users to add polls in the platform. These additional features are known for their massive use over at Threads' rival platform, X, with the Meta-owned app slowly catching up.
Recently, Zuckerberg announced the massive growth of Threads, with the platform seeing as many as 100 million active users, but slightly below this massive number.
Meta Threads New Features: Polls and GIFs
Zuck's recent post on Threads shows a GIF of UFC's Bruce Buffer shouting inside the Octagon, with the Meta CEO announcing the arrival of polls and GIFs on the platform. These new features are made available to all, allowing everyone to access the new features without asking them to subscribe to get the premium experience.
The Meta CEO has been active in his engagements via Threads, showing his dedication to growing more of the app. Apart from that, the previous requests and suggestions from users, stemming as far back as 16 weeks ago, show Zuck replying to them, confirming the arrival of both features.
In one reply, Zuck said that he agrees with Threads' need for polls, and announced its drop today. Another user asked the CEO to bring a GIF button on the platform, with the renowned CEO replied with a GIF, saying "Your wish is my command."
How to Access GIFs, Polls on Threads
The feature is slowly rolling out to Threads among different users but is not yet available for all based on its current versions. However, the good thing is, that these new features are easy to access on the app, and users only need to either click the GIF button or the Polls button, with users having the power to customize their posts before publishing online.
Mark Zuckerberg's Plans for Threads
Threads has made a name for itself in the past four months, and the platform has become a suitable alternative for X, formerly known as Twitter, with various unique features available to enjoy. However, the recent controversy it faced is the platform's algorithm "prefers" pushing positivity on the platform over the news, something which Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri refuted.
While not an exact blow against X, Threads has recently introduced a new feature as announced by Zuckerberg and Mosseri via the platform, and this is the Edit Button for all posts. The difference is that Threads will not ask users for any fees or charge them for monthly subscriptions to use this feature, only asking users to be part of the app, launched alongside voice posts.
Threads is nearing a massive number for its monthly active user metrics, with the platform "just under" 100 million, and is expected to grow more in the future and establish itself as the go-to social media platform. With this plan, the text-based social media is adding more and more features, as introduced by its executives, with Zuck recently bearing the news for polls and GIFs accessible for all.
