Meta’s Generative AI Stickers are Wild, Users Report Generating Unsafe Media with Feature

Messenger and Instagram users are going all out with AI.

The supposedly game changer for Meta's offer on its social media platforms is now the center of massive controversy as users report that its generative AI stickers are creating wild depictions online. Its generative AI can deliver what users want, and this is exactly the problem for some now, as it could create different stickers that may be unsafe for various age groups and users.

Its latest feature is available to access for Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram, which users have tried to create some of their wildest imaginations.

Various users are now going to X to share their experiences with Meta's generative AI stickers, with the feature allowing users to create some wild depictions of almost anything a user can think of. A user called Pioldes has shared screenshots of some of his creations using Meta's AI, showing depictions of famous characters and personalities with a twist.

Here, he shared how Meta's AI obeys what a user wants to create, including giving the famed Super Mario Bros. franchise villain, Waluigi, holding a rifle.

The user went as far as to say that Meta and people over at its AI team did not think this through, particularly as the AI has no limits. He went on to blame Mark Zuckerberg for what the AI is capable of, going as far as to give Karl Marx large breasts.

In another screenshot, the user claimed that Meta's AI can go as far as to give Sesame Street's famed Elmo a kn*fe, along with other depictions of renowned animated characters R-18 AI edits.

There is still no word from Meta regarding changing or filtering the content it delivers with its AI, particularly with its Emu, the image-enhancing and generative tech it uses for its current offers.

Meta's AI and the Dangers of the Tech

Apart from its social media and Reality Labs feature, Meta is also a company that has focused itself on developing AI, with the company centering on different products and tech for this experience. Mark Zuckerberg previously formed a new team for the social media platforms of the company to receive its AI developments, something which they promised to the world.

Back in early 2022 when AI was not yet booming and OpenAI was yet to deliver the ChatGPT that kickstarted this revolution, Meta already unveiled its large language model. The company made this open to access for free, offering developers a chance to utilize the power of AI to model their apps or experiences, amidst the early development of LLMs.

More than a year later, Meta has been slowly introducing its AI offers for the world to see and experience, with many of these features highly accessible to all. The latest of what Meta has to offer centers on the generative AI that can create stickers for its social media, gaining massive attention from the public because of the extent it could go to, too wild for early users.
