One of the most iconic things added to Apple's latest offers this year is the wide gaming experiences, with one of its featured games, Resident Evil Village, already making waves among reviews and users. Capcom's port to the Mac, iPhone, and iPad are showcasing the renowned title that features Ethan Winters, and some users describe the experience as if they were on console.
Resident Evil Village on iOS: Reviews Claim it is Good
CAPCOM is yet to release Resident Evil: Village to iOS, as the company confirmed it to arrive by October 30.
However, those who had early access to the game for the Apple mobile platform are already celebrating this, saying that the iOS version of the game is "legit." The Japanese gaming company is among the ones to thank for this experience, but users are also putting their hats off to Apple for their impressive development of the processors and allowing the game on the devices.
CNET said that they played the RE: Village on a sixth-generation iPad Pro which features the M2 chip, and it was a spot-on mobile version of the game. Moreover, they were surprised by how smooth the gameplay is, comparing it to the likes of a console experience.
Notably, this is a direct download of the game and not a cloud gaming experience.
Moreover, Resident Evil 4: Remake is also set to arrive this year for iOS, courtesy of CAPCOM.
Is RE: Village Worth it on iPad and iPhone?
As per reviews on the Apple App Store and from CNET's report, the game's performance on iOS is remarkable. However, it was regarded that connecting Xbox's Bluetooth controller to the iPad Pro M2 has a slight input lag.
Nevertheless, users could opt for the on-screen touch controls but is a worth-it game on Apple's mobile.
Resident Evil: Village will be available by Halloween on the Apple App Store for $29.99, now available for preorder.
Apple's Gaming Experience Now
The good old days of owning an iPad or iPod Touch have ushered in the era of mobile games, centering on different titles both indie and seeing significant budget, to appear on Apple's devices. However, gaming on Mac was limited before and until last year, and that was before Apple introduced the "Game Mode" with the macOS Sonoma, promising more games to experience with Silicon-equipped computers.
Game Mode was also confirmed earlier this year to arrive for iPhone and iPad devices, centering on the capabilities brought by iOS 17 and iPadOS 17. However, it is important to note that not all eligible devices are capable of running these games, as only those equipped with the new A17 Pro (iPhone 15 Pro) and the M-series chips on iPad are eligible for the upcoming AAA-rated games.
Resident Evil Village is the first to arrive soon for the M-series iPad and iPhone 15 Pro from CAPCOM to usher in a new era of mobile games. While it is not widely available yet to the public, RE: Village is already seeing good reviews from users on the Apple mobile platforms, showing a promising future for iPhone and iPad gaming, with Mac users already given this experience.
