Ghostface, the legendary villain from the horror movie "Scream" could be the next guest fighter in "Mortal Kombat 1."

This serial killer could be the bane of existence for some people who hate his face and the whole franchise. For "MK 1" fans who love seeing brutal moves, this could be a much-awaited downloadable character in the Mortal Kombat universe.

Can We Soon See Ghostface in 'Mortal Kombat 1'

According to "Mortal Kombat" creative director Ed Boon, more horror movie villains are expected to come to "MK 1" as guest characters in the DLC.

On Twitter which is now known as X, Boon teased that more serial killers could potentially grace the game at an unspecified date.

The series' co-creator tweeted an artwork containing the face of Ghostface, Pinhead from Hellraiser, Freddy Kreuger from A Nightmare on Elm's Street, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, Jigsaw from Saw franchise, Chucky from Child's Play, and Michael Myers from Halloween.

From the photo, only Krueger, Vorhees, and Leatherface have green checkmarks, suggesting that they already appear in a "Mortal Kombat" game. Indeed, this is true since they became guest fighters on "MK 2011" and "MK X."

The remaining horror villains who have no ticks above their heads could be the DLC fighters who will soon arrive in "Mortal Kombat 1." These are Jigsaw, Chucky, Ghostface, Saw, Pinhead, and Myers.

Along with Scream's knife wielder, "Mortal Kombat" could also bring characters from "Conan the Barbarian" and "He-Man," as per the datamined data.

If NetherRealm wants another variation of fighters outside horror movies, they could test out another round with action-based characters, per GameRant. This is not possible since we have already seen The Terminator, John Rambo, and more.

'Mortal Kombat 1' is Too Much For Nintendo Switch

"Mortal Kombat 1's" release was smooth on PS5 and Xbox, but it became an instant meme on Nintendo Switch. According to Tech Times, the switch version of "MK 1" can't handle high graphics, compromising the visuals of characters.

Some fans think that it's too early for Switch to release MK1 since it's not yet optimized on the console.

Funny enough, some gamers posted pictures of MK 1 running on the Switch. Some people believe that it's not worth paying $70 for a game that's lowkey beta.

Other users said that it just doesn't feel right to witness how horrible the animations of the Mortal Kombat characters are. For them, the texture quality is plainly a downgrade of the previous MK11 installment.

Other notable issues include glitches in clothing, peculiar-looking eyes, and other bizarre looks that are worse.

Even for die-hard fans, it's hard to accept that MK1 has to undergo this treatment. However, the studio behind the game said that updates for the Switch version will roll out as part of the improvements.
