OpenAI’s ChatGPT is Now Back on the Internet, Giving Users Current Updates and Latest Data

The renowned AI chatbot can now access the internet again.

Earlier this year, ChatGPT was temporarily suspended from accessing the internet because of several hiccups, but now, the AI chatbot has regained its provisions to get the latest information from the World Wide Web. OpenAI's feature aims to bring current updates and data to the world with this access, offering real-time-based answers to various queries and questions.

The original version of ChatGPT only has information until September 2021, as it was only until that time the company trained its AI under the previous GPT-3.

OpenAI brought an update regarding ChatGPT's capabilities, now centering on it regaining access to the internet which it first introduced early this May, with the company disabling its access in July. Now, the AI chatbot is back on the internet to gather current and updated information that would add legitimacy and depth to what a user asks for in their prompts.

When the company disabled this feature, ChatGPT reverted to its original operations where it only provided information up until September 2021.

However, this is no longer the case now, as OpenAI worked out the kinks to make this feature work, with browsing now part of the experience that offers the latest data on the web.

ChatGPT's Internet Access to Bring Current Data

It is important to note that this is not yet a full-blown experience, as the Browsing feature is only available to the Plus and Enterprise tiers, only for the paid subscribers of the service. However, this does not mean that it would be behind the paywall in its existence, as OpenAI promised that soon, all users may be able to take advantage of ChatGPT's browsing feature in the future.

OpenAI's ChatGPT Development

ChatGPT alone is already the most famous AI chatbot in the world, offering everyone, from free to Premium access, a chance to generate information and more depending on their needs. One of the main offers by OpenAI with ChatGPT is its availability to connect to the internet via the Browse with Bing feature, allowing access to what it has to offer.

However, this met massive problems and challenges, leading to OpenAI disabling the feature last July, but was only temporary, giving them time to fix the issue. Many users have taken advantage of the AI chatbot's offers, using it to help them bypass paywalls from various sites and experiences online, much to the dismay of different companies and websites.

Now, this feature is making a comeback, alongside many of ChatGPT's latest features, completing the chatbot's capabilities to bring more accurate and updated information to the public. On ChatGPT alone, users could get the latest information from the web directly from the AI, also providing various links and sources to help improve their needs from the tech.
