The Apple Clock app has a new feature that would make it easier to track multiple performances via its timer. With the new iOS 17 update, users will be able to run multiple timers simultaneously.

New Apple iOS 17 Feature Allows Users to Set Multiple Timers in the Apple Clock App

According to Gadget Hacks, aside from adding bedtime sleep schedules five years ago, the Apple Clock app has not gotten much attention when it comes to iOS software updates. It meant other apps received updates in each new iOS software update, while the Apple Clock didn't.

However, with the new Apple iOS 17 update, the Clock app received a new feature that would allow it to run more than one timer simultaneously. The new feature would reportedly allow users to run not just two but three timers at the same time.

Before the new iOS 17 update, which brought the latest feature, users would have to use third-party apps to run simultaneous timers. Other methods would be relying on other complicated shortcuts or using additional devices to run more timers.

New Feature Is Available for Apple iPhone and iPad via the iOS 17 and iPad OS 17 Operating Systems

Gadget Hacks noted that before the new update, Apple users would have to run multiple devices in order to time things simultaneously. The new feature comes as part of the iPhone iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 updates.

It was reported that users would be able to set multiple timers simultaneously through the Clock app. Another thing users can do is to set multiple timers through Live Activities, which can be spotted on the Lock Screen or the user's Notification Center.

How to Set Up Multiple Timers in the Apple Clock App With the New Feature

To set the first timer, users will need to go to the Clock app and open the Timers tab. The Timers tab is the new name for the feature. It used to be labeled Timer when it only provided a singular timer. If users want to set multiple timers, they only need to click on the plus icon and follow the steps or choose from preset timers.

Once timers are opened, users can then set the seconds, minutes, and hours and change the sounds through the When Timer Ends option. Users can then label the timer to ensure they aren't confused if they're running three timers simultaneously.

Label Isn't Needed if Users Have Only One Timer, and Users Can Also Use Siri to Activate It

According to reports, a label is not needed if users only have one timer. Once the timer or timers are in place, users can click on Start to run them.

Another option users can follow is to tell Siri to set the timer. Users can also do so through the command if they want to label the timer. Once the timer is created, users will be able to preview it whenever they open the Clock app and go to the Timers tab.
