Apple Could be Developing Its Own Modem but It Might Take a While Before They Release It
The company advertises that it offers unmatched data speeds, latency, and even coverage. The modem reportedly comes with its own AI processor which is supposed to improve 5G frequency connections.
This includes the short-wave mmWave signals with the Snapdragon X70 modem coming from the Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup. So far, there are also rumors that Apple is trying to work on its very own in-house 5G modems.
This comes as the company has extended its own modem supply agreement until 2026 meaning it might not be until after that when Apple comes out with their own modems. Preorders for the iPhone 15 are reportedly live and they will start shipping out on September 22.
